Chief Strategy Officer
Andrew Woelflein is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Tempus Inc., a Washington, D.C. based financial services firm focused on corporate foreign exchange and international payments. In this capacity he works on joint ventures, strategic acquisitions, and has overall responsibility for driving Tempus strategic marketing initiatives. He also served in a dual capacity as Chief Compliance Officer managing the firm’s regulatory, licensing and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) anti-money laundering compliance program with state and federal regulators.
Prior to joining Tempus, he co-founded Payment Metrics, a specialty advisory firm serving leading international money service businesses (MSB) and banks. He was also Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Management at Ruesch International (now Western Union Business Solutions). His team orchestrated new product rollouts and successfully introduced hundreds of product enhancements on Ruesch’s proprietary online system used by over 30,000 corporate clients worldwide.
Mr. Woelflein led Bankers Trust’s global multicurrency & Euro payment business and drove the late1990s Euro payment conversion, based in London. He positioned Bankers Trust as a top 10 Euro payment provider as reported in the Financial Times.
Mr. Woelflein holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
